Stacy Savage
Stacy was born and raised under the brown, hazy skies and rotten egg smells of southeast Texas, the oil and gas epicenter of the country. Both her parents and extended family worked at oil refineries and chemical plants for decades. She attended the University of Texas at Arlington for a biology degree and moved to Austin in 1999. Stacy began as a grassroots campaign organizer and legislative advocate, where she played a key role in advancing environmental policy.
Through her firm, Stacy, AKA "The Texas Trash Talker", has worked with clients including Dell, Nestlé, Apple, AT&T, Kohler, Boston University and the City of Austin. Her work combines on-site waste audits, gamified employee training, green marketing strategies, and zero waste facility certification. Along the way, she co-hosted a weekly green-talk radio show, was elected to the State of Texas Alliance for Recycling board, and has spoken at state and national sustainability conferences across the country.
